6/15 "Wick-Wack" Unisex Tee
After the death of DJ Scott La Rock in 1987, KRS ONE and Boogie Down Productions forged ahead in his name. The first of their many classic releases was "By Any Means Necessary". The cover of the album showed a KRS peeking through the curtains of a window, with Uzi in hand. An ode to the iconic Malcolm X photo from the 60's. That was the first indication that the album was all business. KRS introduced himself as the "Teacha" - a label no emcee had dared to take on at the time. He then proceeded to lay down his Philosophy and give us a lesson on HipHop, rhymes, and cultural awareness. A message he still gives us to this day.
Their words will are art. They are the soundtrack to our lives. We encapsulate them, like a single stem rose, and present them to you. 30 days of music love and appreciation.
