Nas and Lauryn Hill were the perfect pair to execute this record. Was with his introspective rhymes, pierced the soul of the Whodini sampled track as L-Boogie's angelic vocals absolutely knocked the chorus out of the park. They took us on a freedom journey. One that saw the cells of Attica being opened, and all of the black prisoners being set free to live amongst their people in Africa. Imagine that.
